Many years ago I was in the desert of the Sinai, between the Gulf of Eilat and Cairo. In those days travelers needed two sets of papers to pass between Israel-Palestine and some of the surrounding countries. Our group had two guides, a young Israeli woman from Tel Aviv, who was Jewish, and older gentleman from Cairo who was Muslim. I had an old guitar and was playing one night in an old abandoned army tent for everyone. The two guides were talking earnestly in the corner and then she came over to me and said "We want you to play the song about the flowers."
